OUR VISION
1To have relational policies in every educational context. These relational polices will be the root policy from which all other polices are developed.
2To ensure all education staff involved directly with children and young people who have experienced relational trauma and loss have access to:
- Rich, relational approaches and interventions and support in school.
- A small personalised team in school who provide consistent, attuned and responsive care over at least 2 – 3 years working closely with parents and caregivers.
- Differentiated emotional and social tasks and expectations throughout the school community.
3To ensure that all children and young people who have experienced relational trauma and loss have access to:
- The latest research in child development, attachment and neuroscience.
- High quality professional development by experienced practitioners who are accredited in their specific approach.
- A network of support across the UK to keep the momentum going.
- Advocacy regarding the impact of ACEs upon a pupil and their learning so that both policy and practice are updated across the UK
